Weekend del Gusto è una manifestazione enogastronomica che si tiene a Valeggio sul Mincio il primo fine settimana di Settembre: quest’anno sarà Sabato 2 e Domenica 3 Settembre 2023.
L’evento, organizzato dall’Associazione Pro Loco di Valeggio sul Mincio e l’Associazione Percorsi, in collaborazione con l’Amministrazione Comunale, si propone di promuovere il territorio, le sue tradizioni e la sua cultura, unendo il turismo a proposte enogastronomiche tipiche locali selezionate.
Durante il Weekend del Gusto i visitatori hanno l’opportunità di scoprire e gustare i prodotti tipici della zona, come il famoso Tortellino di Valeggio, accompagnati dai vini DOC locali e tante altre specialità regionali che si distinguono per la qualità delle materie prime e l’artigianalità delle lavorazioni. Si avrà quindi l’occasione di conoscere e gustare i vini e i piatti più prelibati che Valeggio sul Mincio offre alla tavola.
A contorno, il Mercato di Eccellenza con stand di artigianato e di prodotti tipici selezionati, musica live, laboratori dimostrativi per imparare come si creano i tortellini e passeggiate storico-culturali alla scoperta di Valeggio sul Mincio e del suo territorio.
Un evento nell’evento, che arricchirà questa edizione, sarà la mostra Arte in Corte, con numerosi artisti che esporranno le loro opere in alcune suggestive corti private del centro storico, aperte al pubblico per l’occasione.
Every year the A.R.V. – Valeggio sul Mincio Restaurants Association celebrates The Love Knot with a memorable dinner on the Visconti Bridge, in the cosy medieval site of Borghetto. The event takes place every year on the 3rd Tuesday of June.
Since 1993, a great tribute to the local history. Fascinating landscapes, the Scaligeri Castle that overlooks the valley and the Visconteo Bridge and our famous pasta: tons of homemade tortellini, served by joyful restaurant owners and their staff.
A medieval parade strolling down the bridge at sunset and a troop of bottles of white and red wine to make everyone happier…..and in the end spectacular fireworks from the towers of the castle and a gift for everyone.

It is a journey dedicated to taste and flavours along the streets of the historic centre of Valeggio sul Mincio with the producers of the Market of Excellence. These are the tasty specialties you can find: honey and jams, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cheeses and cold cuts, and truffles. To enjoy the best of Valeggio cuisine, the restaurants, the pasta makers and the trattorias and taverns in the centre, in addition to the usual a la carte offerings, will offer a special tasting menu with a selection of typical local products. Weekend del Gusto is also an opportunity to discover the natural beauty, monuments and history of Valeggio sul Mincio, accompanied on a historical walk by CTG El Vissinel volunteer guides.

Originally dedicated only to agriculture, this traditional summer event of Valeggio has become increasingly lively and dynamic. Various live music spots with original-sounding bands enliven the town centre, where along The Streets of Taste you can sample local specialties or buy typical products from the Market of Excellence or original creations from the Artistic Craft Market. Plus there is the colourful theme park for the youngest visitors. At the close of the Fair, the fireworks show, from the towers of the Scaliger Castle.
An oasis of relaxation and fun
Not far from Borghetto, in Ariano, the Cavour Water Park is the ideal destination for all those in search of cooling off from the summer heat. Children will have a great time with the spectacular water games of the Water Lagoon or along the adventure trails, slides and waterfalls of Robinson’s Beach and all the other themed attractions designed especially for them. On the other hand, the white sand of Palm Beach, the private area of CocoBeach, the Jacuzzi and the Kneipp sensory path are the alternative for those who prefer to enjoy the sun in relaxation.
The Cavour Water Park covers an area of about 200,000 square metres, completely immersed in greenery and covered with soft grass, rich in flowers, shrubs and century-old trees, with numerous shady areas equipped for picnics.

The botanical heritage of Valeggio
The Sigurtà Garden Park is a botanical and naturalistic spectacle covering some 60 hectares. Its endless green spaces alternate with marvellous seasonal blooms, such as the famous Tulipanomania of March and April, when over a million bulbs bloom in a kaleidoscope of a thousand shades. Most famous are the Avenue of Roses, the Labyrinth and the Water Gardens, which feature colourful floating flower beds. Favourite points of interest for younger visitors, on the other hand, are the Educational Farm and the Deer Valley, to get to know the park’s animals up close.
The Garden can be visited on foot, by bicycle, small train or by electric golf-carts that can be hired inside, to lose oneself among meadows, woods and ponds, in an enchanting natural setting.

Every fourth Sunday of the month in Valeggio sul Mincio you can walk around the antiquarian market where more than 100 exhibitors display their goods. At this market you can find everything from objects to furniture and from porcelain to prints.
