Bussolengo

Bussolengo, framed by the Adige River and the undulating hills of Verona

Located in a particularly strategic geographical position, Bussolengo is just a few kilometres between two centres of great cultural and touristic attraction: the city of Verona and Lake Garda. Since old times, the municipality has been on an essential route for both economic and commercial exchanges and for tourist traffic involving the Garda Riviera, the city of Verona and many other places in the province. Thanks to the creation of big shopping centres, Bussolengo has become a favourite destination for tourists for shopping or to kill time during the rare days of bad weather while on holidays.

What to do in Bussolengo

The Parco Natura Viva, an important centre for the protection of endangered species, is located in the municipality of Figara. The park is the brainchild of the architect Alberto Avesani who, in the 1960s, transformed part of his farm into a wildlife area, taking in animals of the local fauna to breed and show them to the public. This idea created the opportunity to temporarily house circus animals, and hence the thought of creating a park open to the public, featuring exotic and native fauna.
