Rock engravings on Mount Luppia
The rock graffiti of Garda
The rock engravings or graffiti of Garda can be reached by a route that begins near Scaveaghe, goes along a dirt road that leads to Castei, and from here, through the woods, up to Monte Luppia (418 m) or “Sengia” as the locals call it. The headland is covered in characteristic Mediterranean vegetation and is known for its numerous rock engravings and graffiti dating back to prehistoric times that were discovered in 1964 by Professor Mario Pasotti.
